As part of the technical provision, EmailJS states that request metadata and, temporarily, IP addresses may also be processed to prevent abuse and fraud.
The legal basis for processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the contact serves to initiate or perform a contract. For general enquiries, processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the efficient, secure and traceable handling of incoming enquiries. The mandatory confirmation in the form serves to document acknowledgement of this privacy information and does not constitute the sole legal basis for processing the enquiry.
EmailJS provides a data processing agreement which, according to the published contractual terms, forms part of the user relationship for processing within the scope of the GDPR. Further information can be found in the EmailJS Privacy Policy and in the EmailJS Data Processing Agreement.
This website offers the optional AI assistant “OPTI”. Automatically opening the chat window after a short period of time does not in itself trigger an AI request. Only when you send a message are your current input and – for conversational context – up to six previous chat messages transmitted to a Supabase Edge Function. Suitable approved OPTILeMO, landing page and product information is added there as context, and the request is forwarded for response generation to Cloudflare Workers AI, Cloudflare, Inc. OPTI currently uses models from the Workers AI catalogue. Please do not enter passwords, payment data, health data or other particularly sensitive personal information in the chat.
Chat content is not stored by our OPTI function in the database as a conversation log. While the page remains open, the chat history is held in the browser’s working memory and discarded when the page is reloaded or closed. To limit abuse, a hash/fingerprint is generated server-side from the IP address and browser identifier; only this pseudonymised key, the time window and the request count are stored. In the current system, rate-limit entries are automatically deleted after approximately two hours at the latest.
Cloudflare refers to inputs and outputs of Workers AI as “Customer Content”. According to Cloudflare’s current information, this content is neither made available to other Cloudflare customers nor used, without explicit consent, to train AI models or improve Cloudflare or third-party services. Cloudflare states that Customer Content is stored in particular when an additional Cloudflare storage service such as R2, KV, Durable Objects or Vectorize is used; no such Cloudflare storage is currently configured for OPTI chat content. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where you use OPTI for specific pre-contractual product or consultation questions; otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR applies. Our legitimate interest lies in easily accessible, interactive product information and in operating the service securely with a low risk of abuse. Use of OPTI is voluntary; the same enquiries can be made without AI by telephone or email.
OPTI automatically generates text but does not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Orders, availability and appointments are not bindingly confirmed by the AI alone. No automated decision-making within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR takes place through OPTI.
When an order draft is submitted, processing includes in particular master data, contact details, billing and where applicable delivery address, cart items, any partner number or referral attribution, consent confirmations and a one-time request identifier. The process does not yet trigger payment or automatically conclude a contract.
The data is transmitted to the Supabase project used for OPTILeMO. Supabase provides a hosted PostgreSQL database and a secured programming interface. Prices and totals are recalculated server-side using the active product data. To limit abuse, a non-directly readable fingerprint may be generated from the IP address transmitted by the infrastructure provider and stored temporarily; according to the current database setup, checkout rate-limit entries are cleared after 24 hours at the latest.
The legal basis for processing the order draft is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Security and abuse-prevention measures are based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Following conclusion of a contract, contractual, invoicing and documentary data are additionally stored on the basis of statutory commercial and tax obligations pursuant to Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
The website embeds images and media resources from OPTILeMO/Hostinger domains, among others, and in individual cases preview images from YouTube. The jsDelivr content delivery network is also currently used for the technical provision of the EmailJS browser library. When external resources are loaded, the respective providers may for technical reasons receive, in particular, the IP address, time, requested file, referrer and browser information. jsDelivr describes the processing of such network data as necessary for providing and securing the CDN. Source links to YouTube, Wikimedia Commons and other providers are opened only through deliberate user action. These integrations serve technical provision, security, presentation and traceable source attribution and are based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Recipients of personal data may include – where necessary for the respective purpose – hosting and infrastructure providers, Supabase as backend provider, Cloudflare, Inc. for the optional OPTI AI assistant, EmailJS Pte. Ltd. as the technical sending service for the contact form, the email/SMTP service connected by us, jsDelivr for providing the EmailJS browser library, technical support providers, shipping and payment service providers following a later order confirmation, and authorities or advisers where required by law. Where necessary, service providers are engaged on the basis of data processing agreements or comparable data-protection arrangements.
Individual providers or their subprocessors may process personal data outside the European Economic Area. EmailJS states that its primary processing facilities are located in the USA and that, among other things, Amazon Web Services infrastructure is used there. According to EmailJS, transfers of personal data from Europe to the USA are protected by appropriate safeguards, in particular EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Cloudflare provides a Data Processing Addendum for relevant processing with provisions on international data transfers and Standard Contractual Clauses. International data transfers may also take place with other providers used. Where no adequacy decision exists, such transfers take place only on the basis of appropriate safeguards or a statutory exception. Despite such safeguards, different government access possibilities may exist in third countries.
We store personal data only for as long as it is needed for the respective purpose. Enquiry data is deleted once communication has ended unless a further business relationship arises and no statutory reasons prevent deletion. Messages sent via the contact form are also processed in the email inbox used, in accordance with the operational deletion and retention rules applicable there. EmailJS generally states retention of request data for up to 30 days for active accounts; storage of private content data can be restricted or disabled in the template settings. Technical metadata may be processed separately. Contractual and accounting data are stored in accordance with statutory commercial and tax retention periods. The OPTI function currently does not store chat content as a chat log; pseudonymised AI rate-limit entries are cleared in the current system after approximately two hours at the latest. Browser data in local or session storage can be deleted via the browser settings.
Subject to the statutory requirements, data subjects have in particular the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. These Terms and Conditions apply to the initiation and conclusion of contracts for goods and related services of OptiLeMo Vertriebs GmbH, Manzweg 14, 88662 Überlingen, with consumers and business customers. Deviating terms of a business customer apply only if expressly confirmed in text form.
A consumer is any natural person who acts predominantly for private purposes. A business customer is a natural or legal person or partnership with legal capacity who, when concluding the contract, acts in the exercise of their commercial or self-employed professional activity.
Product presentations and price information on this landing page do not yet constitute a binding contractual offer. By using “Send order enquiry” or “Submit order draft”, the customer submits a non-binding enquiry. Submission does not trigger payment and does not automatically conclude a contract.
A contract is concluded only when OPTILeMO, after review, accepts the enquiry by an express order confirmation in text form, sends a binding payment request, or dispatches the goods. Before this, availability, delivery area, shipping costs, payment method and any installation requirements in particular are agreed.
Input errors can be corrected before submission by changing the form data, quantity or cart. German is available as the contract language.
Prices shown to consumers are total prices including statutory VAT unless expressly stated otherwise. Shipping, installation, customs or import costs are included only where expressly indicated. The total shown in the order draft is checked server-side against the active product prices.
For deliveries within Germany, an advertised free-shipping offer may apply. For Austria, Switzerland, islands, freight shipments or special installation services, the specific costs are communicated before a binding contract is concluded. Deliveries to Switzerland may incur import duties and taxes payable by the customer unless otherwise agreed.
Submitting the order draft does not trigger payment. Available payment methods, due date and payment details are communicated with the order confirmation or separate payment information. Payment may only be made to the accounts or payment service providers clearly specified there.
Delivery times and delivery area are set out in the individual order confirmation. Partial deliveries are permitted insofar as they are reasonable for the customer. If delivery is prevented for reasons beyond our control, the customer will be informed without delay.
Before installation, the customer must ensure that connection dimensions, pressure conditions, water quality and spatial conditions are suitable for the selected system. The manufacturer’s installation, operating and replacement instructions must be observed. Work on drinking-water installations should be carried out by qualified persons in accordance with the applicable technical rules.
Until full payment has been made, the delivered goods remain the property of OptiLeMo Vertriebs GmbH. For business customers, retention of title additionally applies to all outstanding claims arising from the ongoing business relationship insofar as permitted by law.
Statutory defect rights apply. Consumers should, where possible, document visible transport damage with the carrier and inform OPTILeMO; failure to do so does not affect statutory claims.
Any advertised manufacturer or module warranty exists in addition to statutory defect rights and does not restrict them. Its content, duration, territorial scope, conditions and guarantor are governed exclusively by the warranty terms made available before conclusion of the contract. Consumables, filter cartridges and normal wear may be excluded from a module warranty.
OPTILeMO has unlimited liability in cases of intent and gross negligence, for damage arising from injury to life, limb or health, under the German Product Liability Act, and to the extent of an expressly assumed guarantee. In the event of a slightly negligent breach of essential contractual obligations, liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical of the contract. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded insofar as permitted by law.
No liability exists for damage caused by unsuitable connection conditions, improper installation, lack of maintenance, overdue cartridge replacement, frost, impermissible operating pressure or use contrary to product and safety instructions, insofar as OPTILeMO is not responsible for these circumstances.
Consumers generally have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for a contract subsequently concluded at a distance. Because the landing page initially submits only a non-binding order draft, submitting it does not yet start the withdrawal period. Full withdrawal instructions, including information on return costs and a model withdrawal form, will be provided in text form before or at the latest when a binding contract is concluded.
For purchases of goods, the withdrawal period generally begins once the consumer or a third party designated by the consumer, other than the carrier, has received the goods. Withdrawal may be exercised by an unequivocal declaration to OptiLeMo Vertriebs GmbH, Manzweg 14, 88662 Überlingen, or by email to info@optilemo-vertrieb.de erfolgen.
Statutory exclusions may apply in particular to individually manufactured goods and sealed goods that, for reasons of health protection or hygiene, are not suitable for return once the seal has been removed. Whether an exclusion applies will be communicated for the specific product before the contract is concluded.
Documented filtration performance relates exclusively to the specified filter cartridge and tested configuration. Statements about taste or mouthfeel describe personal perceptions. Philosophical terms such as water structure, frequency information or energetic inspiration are not guaranteed medical effects and are not automatically scientifically confirmed product properties.
OptiLeMo Vertriebs GmbH is neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). For consumers, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive them of mandatory protective provisions of the state of their habitual residence. For merchants, legal entities under public law or special funds under public law, the registered office of OptiLeMo Vertriebs GmbH is the place of jurisdiction insofar as legally permissible.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is or becomes invalid, the remaining provisions remain unaffected. Statutory provisions apply in place of the invalid provision. Individual agreements and mandatory consumer rights take precedence.
